The E-Myth
I, by nature, am not a ‘self-help’ kind of guy. I don’t read a lot of self-help type books and articles. The ones I have read, were typically regurgitated musings or advice that I had seen, heard, or read somewhere decades ago. There is one, however, that has stayed with me. So much so, that I employ almost all the practices that I learned in that book to my business (The Purple Piglet Marketing Company). That book is, “The E-Myth” by Michael Gerber.
Phenomenal. I read it in one night. I literally could not put it down.
The crux of it is ‘systemization’. This means that ever facet of your business should have a ‘system’. This means that you actually have a ‘bible’ for running your business.
We’re in business. Finally!
The first Pig-Post ever! Being the owner of The Purple Piglet Marketing Company (otherwise known as TPPMC), I wanted to be the first one to write a blog post. We are solo excited to finally be in business. After a long 3 year planning stage, TPPMC is finally legit! All our ducks are in a row, our site is live (and pig-tacular!), our protocols are in place, and we are ready to help. Yep. Ready to help people like you. We love working with small businesses. That is why we work with them exclusively! We only have so many hours in the day, and we feel that we want to dedicate those hours helping the ‘little’ guy. Its simply, what we do best.
So, I, Eddie Mann, Owner, Founder, and Big Piglet In Charge, do hereby and solemnly promise to help, educate, and care for every small company that we do business with!
